What Hot Girl Summer Really Means (to us)

I know we have all heard the term “Hot Girl Summer” which can mean a lot of different things to different people. The term came about from the song “Hot Girl Summer” by Megan Thee Stallion back in 2019 and came back this summer since the “end” of COVID and the beginning of vaccinations. The term that some find to be toxic can mean many different things. The way we look at the term here is that everyone is a hot girl and we are all having a hot girl summer. Also, hot girl summer isn’t going to end when the summer does, it will continue forever. To us, hot girl summer is empowering and inclusive to all women. 

We, as women, are always told to look like this or that and to do this and not that. That is why we love the term hot girl summer, it is something we can all be a part of, something we are all enjoying by being ourselves and living our life. This summer we are being our best selves and living our best lives (whatever that means to you!).
